Everyone once in a while I love to enjoy a good sub sandwich. What’s even better is when they are toasted, I think that’s why I enjoy Quizno’s so much!
Quizno’s is having an online special for their loyal customers (that’s me and now you)! If you print their online coupon you can get a sub, snack and drink for $2.99. While I love Quizno’s sometimes their meals can get a bit pricey. That’s why I’m enjoying this online deal they’re promoting!

The movie surrounds a woman who wants to have a baby by herself and her best friend. When she goes to a sperm donor, her best friend is finally ready to claim his love for her. The night of her “baby insemination shower” her best friend makes a drunken mistake and has to make the switch!!
Catch the movie this weekend at Sunrise Cinemas 15 at Las Olas Riverfront!

Barefoot Running…
August 12, 2010 by Alicia

I’m a runner…there’s no doubt about it, I enjoy running! In high school I used to run Cross Country… while many would say Cross Country is for the insane I think it’s great! Running gives me time for me… I have the time to think over issues and I have time to just be, it’s mind-easing.
If you’re a runner like me, then you know what it takes to have a good shoe. There are so many factors to think of when it comes to a good running shoe. Is it light enough? Do I have enough arch support? Will I have enough cushion for my feet?
Recently I’ve thought about throwing all those questions away and getting some…Vibram Five Fingers! I’d be wearing gloves for my feet! There’d be no reliance on arch support or cushion. I’d depend on my feet…the way I was supposed to! I’d condition and train my feet to become stronger and healthier
The typical human foot is an anatomical marvel of evolution with 26 bones, 33 joints, 20 muscles, and hundreds of sensory receptors, tendons and ligaments. Like the rest of the body, to keep our feet healthy, they need to be stimulated and exercised.

This is the name of the current exhibition at the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale! Who doesn’t want to see an exhibition with this title?
Gordon Locksley began collecting back in 1960 and now have such a large collection. He and his business partner George T. Shea started as art dealers and the collection grew. They’ve worked with artists like Andy D. Warhol, Cy Twombly and much more. Locksley has settled right here in Fort Lauderdale, where he still collects.
He continues to actively collect and commission new works, some of which are on view in this installation, including paintings by Peter Halley, Robert Mangold, and Takashi Murkami, sculpture by Jack Pierson, Anselm Reyle, and Yoshitimo Nara, as well as light pieces by Tracey Emin and Dan Flaven.
The exhibition last through the month of August until September 5th.

You Know That Cold Feeling you Feel?

It’s them…
That famous quote from the Sixth Sense has always had me wonder. Do ghosts really exist? When you ask some people around Fort Lauderdale they’d say, “yes!” The city you live in is very historic and it was established a long time ago. There are many ghosts stories and “encounters” that people have and always willing tell.
So your Alexan Solmar community would like to ask you have you been on the Mystery River and Hour Tour or any Fort Lauderdale Ghost Tour? The Mystery River and House tour takes places at the Stranahan House and will run through August every Sunday. A couple of you and some friends could get together and have an “eerie” night out on the town. For more information call 954-524-4736.
Tour the house while listening to the results of the paranormal teams investigations and the history of the people that lived here. Hear about the colorful characters that once lived along the banks of the river and occasionally come back to visit
If you’re looking for more ghost tours you can tour Old Fort Lauderdale with the Fort Lauderdale Ghost Tour. The tours take place on the weekends and include private tours if you reserve them.
Do our residents of Alexan Solmar believe in ghosts?
